Monaghan
Eileen Ferguson was born in Edinburgh. She studied Fine Art at The Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art Dundee 1982-1986, then went on to Study an MA in Fine Art at the University of Ulster at Belfast 1988-1989.
She has had multiple residencies and awards, which recently include an Arts Council Agility Award (2021) and a four-week residency in Leitrim Sculpture Centre (2020). She is Artist in Residence at Creative Spark Dundalk Print Studio.
She has exhibited widely, including in the Royal Ulster Academy (2017/2019); the RHA Dublin Annual Exhibition (2018) and won first prize at the North West Open Exhibition Leitrim Sculpture Centre (2019). Her most recent solo exhibition was in the Alley Art Centre Strabane (2017). Past solo shows have been in Temple Bar Gallery Dublin, The Arts Council Gallery Belfast and Sligo Art Gallery. She has also curated group exhibitions at Solas Art Gallery; Customhouse Studios Mayo; LAF France; ImPress Print Biennale Galway; Cairde Sligo; St Brigid’s Day London; Luan Gallery; Boyle Arts Festival and Kingshouse.
